Eco ~ Essentials Trending….
Greetings! The Soaring Eagle has finally landed back in London…:-)
After an incredible adventure (next time has to be longer) to the most picturesque island of Jersey. The most breath-taking pristine beaches, the most friendliest of locals and hospitality on another level 🙂 Exquisite fresh cuisine overlooking beautiful views of the tranquil ocean…the Quayside Bistro & Grill in St.Helier tops the best restaurant dined at! ( Blogging more on the restaurants in Jersey on Essentials Food postings soon … Watch this space ….)
Most importantly… The highlight of ALL highlights meeting & greeting the delightful animals at the Durrell Wildlife Park. An incredible experience, sincerely heart ~ touching seeing the animals, connecting with them and seeing first hand the dedication from the Durrell Wildlife Team. Lee Durrell and your team are doing an amazing job! Their hospitality, warm welcome and friendliness, way exceeded my expectations ( I went there with an open heart and mind).
I had to blog a post…. this brief introduction to the Durrell Wildlife Park, it was positively, a rather overwhelming experience indeed! Processing everything and trying to soak up as much information as possible and taking pictures and connecting with the animals…a perfectionist at heart, I meditated and went through my notes and pics to give you the best, authentic feedback possible…and…..I finally got to meet the delightful animal star….Meet Indigo…..
Indigo….their Western Lowland Gorilla…(nearly 3 years old) with a big and cute personality, of note and full of energy, very charming and loves his veggies (as myself we have something in common!) Gorilla’s are known to be vegetarian (I must add) Indigo is one of the animals adopted through Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. Which is a great idea, adopting an animal of your choice, contributes towards the running of the Durrell Wildlife Park. See this link for more details…
A must to mention, the Ambassador Henry Cavill, his efforts and dedication towards the Durrell Wildlife Park, is clearly obvious and something to be admired. With his packed schedule, as a talented actor/thespian and other projects he has going, the man still finds the time, for his childhood dream with the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust to be put into action and by doing so, is making a profound difference!
There is still lots to share and blog about this beautiful island of Jersey, and all it’s very ‘charming’ inhabitants furry and not so furry…..I shall be back for longer next time and hopefully to volunteer at the Durrell Wildlife Park…in the meantime, to the island of Jersey, it’s been an honour …..watch this space…..:-)
