Upon my return from the South of France, Monaco, I’m very excited to view the new film out …The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Our Eco Celeb ~Guest Trending… Henry Cavill, a man of many talents, thespian/actor, Superman, Man of Steel, Ambassador for the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust for his hometown of Jersey, and the list continues…
Yesterday, Thursday was the exclusive premiere, at Henry’s hometown of Jersey! The pre-screening event for the latest film~ The Man from U.N.C.L.E ~starring of course… CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) and KGB agent Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) ~ A classic, action packed, spy film (with that fine, dry Brit, wit) ~Directed by Guy Ritchie, (known for his brilliant Brit film, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels). Lionel Wigram ~ Screenplay with The Man from U.N.C.L.E, set in the early 1960’s also starring Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Debicki, Hugh Grant and David Beckham!
All Proceeds from The Man from U.N.C.L.E. pre-screening event, on the beautiful island of Jersey, went to #CavillConservation.
Henry explains ~ “The event will ultimately benefit threatened animals at risk of extinction. “The best thing of course is that all proceeds will go to #CavillConservation which is in aid of Durrell and all its ventures”
Well done Henry and the Durrell team, another shinning example of their commitment and dedication to preserving endangered species from extinction.

I cannot wait to see The Man From U.N.C.L.E first screening in London today! With a big box of popcorn, looking forward to an entertaining, action packed spy film, with dry Brit humour and appreciating a great cast of actors. Great to see Henry in another diverse role (his ability to be so diverse as an actor is really inspirational).
For a further review/update on this ‘wicked’ Brit film…The Man from U.N.C.L.E. …watch this space 🙂
So, I viewed The Man From U.N.C.L.E. for the second time (I did not need much convincing either). Guy Ritchie’s ingenious approach to film, the sharp~witted dialogue and dry British humour, with very creative subliminal messages, (gets you to think and question certain topics) and through his visual imagery and dialogue, a real ‘connoisseur’ of film, captivating his audience….throughly entertaining!
One of my favourite scenes, (I had to add) the rendezvous and playful battle between Napolean Solo and Illya Kuryakin during a boat scene (one of many), whilst Napolean Solo observes his ‘playmate’ being chased by villains, whilst having a gourmet Italian meal with red wine (this is when the entire audience at the cinema, burst into fits of laughter)…a great ‘carry on moment’ … However at the end of this film, it seems the two characters find a ‘camaraderie’ friendship, during their challenging, undercover spy missions.
With a dynamic cast of actors, great script and the locations ~beautiful settings, scenery, action spy film (in a James Bond, 007 approach), Henry Cavill plays a convincing version!
The wardrobe (I had to mention) is very impressive with chic 1960’s classic style, by British costume designer, Joanna Johnston, her creative inspirations from the 1960’s model, Marisa Bernson and fashions of Russian Designer, Irene Galitzine. Joanna Johnston has previously designed for the blockbuster films such as Love Actually and Saving Private Ryan.
A great cast ~The Man From U.N.C.L.E. from left~
Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander, Guy Ritchie, (Director), Elizabeth Debicki, Henry Cavill, Luca Calvani
Definitely worth watching for the second time! 🙂
